New World Heritage Sites 2017

The 41st session of the World Heritage Committee (WHC) will take place from 2 to 12 July, this year in the city of Krakow in Poland. The table below lists 12 out of a total of 34 sites which will be examined by the WHC. These 12 sites are the ones that are currently recommended for inscription by UNESCO and their advisory bodies, ICOMOS and IUCN, but the final decision will be taken during the WHC’s meeting in Krakow in early July. The full list also includes sites that may or may not be inscribed at a later stage/session.

Nominations to be examined by the WHC include 23 Cultural site, 5 Natural sites, 1 Mixed and 5 significant modifications to the boundaries, i.e. extensions of already listed sites.
